We've incorporated the rebellious spirit of McMarten Tartan, a fabled print that is said to have originated in Wollaston in the 17th century - the home of our original factory - into our iconic 1460 boot. Complete with our air-cushioned sole, yellow welt stitching, and AirWair heel loop, these boots embody over six decades of tradition and style. As always, our Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed at 700°C and reinforced with our signature welt stitch, while remaining true to our classic Dr. Martens DNA with their distinctive grooved edges and visible welt stitching. Made with genuine Airwairs leather, these boots have a polished, semi-bright appearance and are built to last. To maintain their shine, simply wipe away dirt with a damp cloth and apply a matching shoe polish.
